The following are distinguished judges for BUBU AWARDS V06 on alphabetical order:
For the last eleven years, Burnie has lived/worked at CP+B, and it's kind of like how he always imagined advertising should be. At CP+B, he first carved out a name for himself with his work for AND1. He created the AND1 Mixtape, and was responsible for leading a small crew of guys through the US shooting and editing the first four tapes. Later work for AND1 involved the rebuilding of Latrell Sprewell's career by proclaiming him the American Dream. Next up was work for the truth brand (the most successful anti-tobacco brand in history) where he made the Bodybag spot that featured real footage of a team of kids dropping 1200 bodybags on the door of Phillip Morris.
Burnie's work for GT Bicycles, Molson beer, the launch of MINI, Ikea and several other clients has left him with a ton of awards from basically every award show that exists. More importantly, the work worked, and has been talked about in Time, Newsweek, New York Times, 60 Minutes, ESPN Sportscenter and countless other media channels. During his time at CP+B the agency has been named Agency of the Year twelve times. In 2004, he and partner Dave Schiff were promoted to co-creative directors of the Maxim magazine account. Their work, involving filing a petition with the Fish and Wildlife Department to list man on the endangered list, was on the forefront of an industry wide effort to kill off metrosexuality. Today, he is a co-creative director on the Coca-Cola Zero account. Burnie teaches at the Miami Ad School and has lectured around the world. He was key in the creation of Hoopla, the first ever book about Crispin Porter + Bogusky, in book stores now.
Andi Sadha, with his partners, established the now 7 years old independent media specialist Activate. Together he and his team have grown this young organization to be one of the leading media specialists in Indonesia.
As managing partner, he leads the organization to continuously deliver effective and innovative communication channel solution for numerous blue chip companies. Graduated from Oklahoma State University, he started his career at Ogilvy media (and MindShare) and later at Starcom Worldwide Jakarta. An active contributor to the advancement of professionals in the media industry, Andi regularly speaks at media events and serves as the chairman for Asia Pacific Media Forum.
Andoko started his career from scratch as a door to door salesman. In
his early days he encountered failures after failures, but he always
says things that do not kill me will only make me stronger
After a while he managed to get a grip on his career in a multinational
company, Bristol Myers Squibb Mead Johnson. He then continued his
study in UC Berkeley, CA, USA, sharpening his marketing skills before
joining EURO RSCG AdWork as Account Director. Only after five years in
EURO RSCG AdWork, Andoko reached the top job and brought the agency to
win Agency of The Year award. In 2008 Andoko was appointed as the Co
Chairman of the agency
When asked what success means to him, he answered: success only hurts the first time
