Trapp Lewis is the Director of Display Sales for Yahoo! Southeast Asia. In his role, Trapp leads a direct sales team to help clients connect with the largest online audience in Southeast Asia (60 million) by integrating online advertising into their marketing campaigns.
Trapp became a proud Yahoo! in 2008 when he joined the company’s Global Sales Team to facilitate cross border campaigns from Southeast Asia, India, South Africa, Russia and the Middle East to the rest of the world.
Prior to Yahoo!, Trapp helped build two of the world’s largest online B2B marketplaces, Alibaba.com and Global Sources. His trade media career started with a seven-year stint with Global Sources in numerous roles including Personal Assistant to the Founder/Chairman/CEO and heading up the firms’s Trade Show Services Division.
At Alibaba.com, Trapp was responsible for linking the firm to its global stakeholders via integrated marketing campaigns including print, online, SEM, SEO, trade shows as well as spearheading business development discussions for new products, services, strategic partnerships.
No stranger to Asia and the United States, Trapp has worked in North America, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, China and Thailand. He holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising management/marketing from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in business from the University of Montana. In his spare time, he can be found hunched over his blackberry in fear of suffering from bandwidth separation anxiety.
