Award Category

Welcome to Bubu Awards V06, a unique web design and digital campaign competition for Indonesians, with prominent IT, well known web designers, and top people in the digital industry Judges, from Indonesia and abroad. Our theme this year, “THE RISE OF DIGITAL ERA”, is in line with our mission of honouring our very own local talents.
The following classes and categories are being contested:

Digital Campaign
Digital Campaign Award
Entries will be judged based on the result of promotion objectives of the campaign ran and ended between 2007 – 2008.

Social Media Web Award
Indonesia Social Media Web Award
Entries will be judged based on the level of participation of the user, content dynamics, and web standards of the social medias such as internet forums, social blogs, microblogs, social networking sites, etc.

Competition based Awards
These are awards given to winners of the individual competitions that are open for public.

1. General Category – Digital Marketing Competition
Entries will be judged based on the brief prepared by the main sponsor specifically for the general category ie. people working in the Creative, Media and Marketing industry in Indonesia.

2. Student Category – Digital Marketing Competition
Entries will be judged based on the brief prepared by the main sponsor specifically for the student category ie. Communication students, VisCom students, Marketing students, Creative students and IT students.

3. Tourism Blog Writing Award
Entries will be judged based on how well the blog writings on “Taman Nasional Komodo” reward the unique eco-tourism destination as well as enrich and persuade the readers to support the preservation of the one and only Komodo habitat in the world.

Corporate Awards
Websites of Indonesian based companies/organizations in various fields and industries are being contested based on 4(four) judging criteria (graphics and layout, content, usability and technology). Contestants can join in various categories available, by registering separately in each of the category joined.

Commerce & Consumer Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of company sites in consumer manufacturing goods and retail business area including banking and finance.
1. Company Profiles Sites (ex: Coca Cola Bottling, Bouraq Airlines etc)
2. Product Profile Sites (ex: Siemens S45 Website, Panasonic Website, etc)

E-Commerce Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of websites having online transactional capabilities.
1. Online Stores
2. Internet Banking
3. Online Charities
4. Other web sites having online transactional capabilities.

Culture and Tourism Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of cultural and tourism based sites such as hotels, museums, art galleries, national parks and other tourist destinations websites.
a. Hotels (ex. Hotel Mulia, The Sultan, etc.)
b. Museums and art galleries (ex. Museum Nasional)
c. Restaurants
d. Travel Agents
e. Other web sites pertinent to culture and tourism sector

Education Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of education based sites, ie: univerities websites, training websites, etc.
a. Education of Higher Learning (ex: UI, Unpad, Trisakti, etc)
b. Other web sites pertinent to the Education & Learning sector

Government Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of government related sites.
a. Government Offices (ex: Dept. of Defense, Office of the President, etc)
b. Regional Government (ex: Aceh, Jawa Barat, DKI, etc)
c. Government Owned Enterprises (ex: Pertamina, PLN, PAM, Telkom, etc)
e. Other web sites on Government related institutions

News & Entertaiment Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of news portals and entertainment sites.
a. News Portals (ex: Detik, Suara Pembaruan, Kompas, etc)
b. Music Portals (ex: Musickita, Musikamu, etc)
c. Entertainment Portals (ex: Cek & Ricek, etc)
d. Other News & Entertainment related portals and web sites.

Organization/Community Category
Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of non profit organisations, public services and community sites.
1. Communities (ex: MyQuran.com, PDA lovers sites etc, music and entertainment
communities are excluded here, pls. see news & category)
2. Outdoors organizations (ex: MAPALA UI, Wanadri, dll)
3. Sports (ex: pencak silat indonesia, dll)
4. other web sites that are related on organizations, profit and non-profit (ex: AIDS).

Corporate Website of the Year
The best site of all the corporate categories will receive the Corporate Website of the Year.

People’s Choice Awards
Winners of these awards are determined by the highest number of votes obtained from the visitors of their blog/site clicking the “<click to vote me for Bubu Award>” button.

1. Most Influential Blogger
Winner of this award is blogger with the highest number of “vote” button clicked on their blog.

2. Celebrities & Musicians Award
Winner of this award is a public figure with the highest number of “vote” button clicked on their website.
a. Singers/Bands (ex: DEWA, Inul, Reza, dll)
b. Movie Stars/Sinetron (ex: Agnes Monica, Indra L. Brugman, dll)
c. Painters/politicians (ex: Affandi, Amien Rais etc)
d. Other web sites that are created as profile of Artist/celebrities dan public figures
